FAQs

Question

Is there a registry?

Answer

The couple has already established their home, so gifts are not necessary. If you would still like to do something for the couple to celebrate their marriage, they would love donations to either of the following organizations. SAFE Project- Stop the Addiction Fatality Epidemic [https://www.safeproject.us/] This request is in honor of loved ones that the couple has lost to drug overdose, including Paisley Marie Abbott (2020-2020), Kamrin Ledger (2000-2022), and Mark W. Cali (1958-2024). The National Center for the Prevention of Youth Suicide [https://www.ncpys.org/donate-index-impact] This request is in honor of loved ones that the couple has lost to suicide including Dorrit House (1943-1992), (Anthony Putsky (2000-2014), Kristen Nassoiy (1981-2016) and Mitchell Foster (2003-2026).

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We have limited space in the venue and need a headcount for the caterer so there will be no plus ones allowed unless specified on the invitation. Anyone not on the guest list will not be allowed into the venue. No exceptions.

Question

Dress code?

Answer

The dress code is wedding casual.* The event is indoors but in an older style barn so make sure to bring a sweater or jacket. As tradition dictates, anybody wearing white besides the bride will be asked to leave, no exceptions. *Casual wedding attire is often less formal than traditional wedding dress codes but still requires a thoughtful approach. Casuel does not mean sloppy; instead, aim for a polished yet relaxed look. No blue jeans please.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

This will be an alcohol free wedding but we will have refreshments available.

Question

Where can I smoke?

Answer

There will be a designated smoking area in the parking lot. There is no smoking or vaping anywhere else on the propery.

Question

Can we bring the kids?

Answer

The reception will be child free, other than the few that are in the ceremony, so please make arrangements before hand. If you are coming from out of town, please let us know if you need help finding childcare, as we know many responsible sitters in the area.

Question

Can I take pictures?

Answer

There will be a professional photographer taking photos of the entire ceremony and reception. During the ceremony itself, we ask that your cellphones be put away and turned off or on silent. During the reception, feel free to take pictures and videos but do NOT post them online or share them with anyone until we get a chance to post our wedding using the professional pictures.* *Anybody who does not respect this will be asked to not only take down any posts but we will also be cutting contact without hesitation because we will not start our marriage by allowing people to disrespect our wishes. This may seem harsh, but we believe that it's necessary to be clear about this. Thank you for understanding.
