we're tying the knot!

Quentin and I were running late to class. At this point we had never spoken to each other but we sat relatively near each other and had just been assigned to the same clinical group. As I walked past Quentin who was grabbing his backpack from his trunk all I could think was, "I hope he doesn't try to talk to me." Of course, he made numerous comments about being late on the way to the lecture hall. When we finally made it, we went through the back doors hoping to sneak in, but class had already begun and we decided to just immediately plop down in the first seats we saw in the back row. Now, I'm going to assume that a lot of people reading this don't know that lectures in nursing school are 3.5 hours long. On this particular day we had two (2) lectures that were 3.5 hours long. Quentin made comedic remarks throughout the entire duration of the first lecture. We laughed and made faces and passed notes back and forth pretty much nonstop, at this point recognizing that we knew nothing about each other. Once the first lecture ended, Quentin turned to me and said bye and that he would see me around and he went to go get food before the next session started with the idea that he was going to go back to his normal seat for the next lecture. I guess he was late again because he sat right back down next to me seconds after the next class started and we were together for 3.5 more hours. We continued to chat and laugh and talk about Layne Staley and the year 1994 and dogs we had growing up and the people we dated recently and at the end of the class Quentin really asked me for my phone number. The thing is... he already had my phone number... from when we got assigned clinical groups literally one week before. It took about a week, but after that we basically couldn't stop talking to each other and ever since then Quentin has been next to me spewing constant nonsense and I have appreciated every word.

Our anniversary is March 17th 2024. We went out for green beers on St Patrick's Day for our first date. We got engaged March 17th, 2025 at the San Antonio Riverwalk when it was green. Originally, we wanted to get married on the 17th, but it is a Tuesday and we didn't want people to be excluded and so we decided to try for the 20th or 21st of March and we could not find a venue with five months noticed that was open those dates. Being the last-minute planners that we are we just decided to have our wedding on Friday the 27th which is a meaningless date.
