International Guests: Flights, Navigation, and Accomodation

We're grateful for friends and family traveling distances to celebrate with us on our big day! We recommend flying into Manchester Airport and taking the train to Sheffield. You can opt to rent a car in Manchester or Sheffield if you would like added flexibility. Flying into London is just as easy, but account for additional cost and time (train or bus) to get from London to Sheffield. Airlines we trust: - British Airways, AerLingus (or American Airlines partners) - Virgin Atlantic (or Delta partners) We use these apps regularly when we travel and navigate daily UK life. You might like to have them downloaded and ready to use. - Trainline (book train tickets) - Uber (US app works in the UK) - GoogleMaps (excellent walking and public transportation directions) - Alltrails (great for finding walks/hikes in the Peak District) Hotel recommendations coming soon! If you choose to book an AirBNB, we recommend the Netheredge, Endcliffe, or Broomhill neighborhoods of Sheffield. Be sure to check walking/driving distance and don't underestimate the hills!

Packing Recommendations

The most common way of getting around Sheffield city centre is walking. We recommend packing a great pair of walking shoes for navigating the city and enjoying any sight seeing you might do. Temperatures can be warmer or cooler in the summer, so bring layers accordingly. And don't forget your rain jacket or umbrella!
