Formal Western Cocktail Attire. Little fancy, little flirty, bonus points for leaning into the desert theme, but whatever's going to make you feel lovely and ready to party.
It sure is! And primarily on dirt and dust (re: desert) so feel free to wear boots or sneakers if you don't want to get your toes and your fancy shoes dirty.
The most important question of all! Please do not plan to drive yourself—there is a small parking lot at the venue, but desert roads are windy, unlit, and definitely not safe to drive at night if you aren't used to them. For those staying at Field Station Joshua Tree as a part of the room block, we will have shuttles arranged to pick up and drop off on Friday and Saturday. For everyone else, please plan to Uber or take a taxi (you can find taxi information on our Travel & Lodging page).
There sure is. Head to the Travel & Lodging page (above) and click on the "View" link under Field Station Joshua Tree — that will take you directly to the room block booking link.
We love your kids, and we can't wait to take them to get their first tattoo behind your back someday, but the wedding is strictly child free. Please plan accordingly!
So long as their name was specifically written on your invitation!
Yes, the desert… IN JUNE?!?! Yes, in June, but don’t fret this is the high desert friend. 4,500 feet or 1371.6 above sea level. While the rainfall isn’t plentiful up here, the temperature is temperate in the early summer (85-88F/29-31C) and cool breezes are bountiful. That said, sunscreen up, drink plenty of water and be aware if you are sensitive to altitude that some folks can experience altitude sickness symptoms, although it is very rare. Besides that, be ready to experience one of the most unique and stunning landscapes on planet earth: It’s like a western set on mars and we can’t wait to boogie with you!
So when Anna (or Evelyn, depending on who you are asking) was a mere beansprout, she was christened Evelyn Anna Danciger with the idea that everybody would call her Anna, and they did! However, after years of confusion caused by the order of her names, she decided to simplify things and go by her first name, Evelyn, when she started her freshman year of college. So everyone from the first half of her life knows her as Anna (or Babs!) and everyone from post-college onwards knows her as Evelyn. So Anna or Evelyn work, or you can just call her "hey you, beautiful bride lady" on the day of the wedding.
