Our first stop on our first date! Blind Tiger is a beloved pub in downtown Charleston. Upscale bar food in an alehouse dating back to 1803, featuring a charming, brick-walled courtyard. Reservations for groups recommended but plenty of space to have a drink while waiting for a table.
At 60 acres, it is the largest park on the peninsula with winding paths of spanish moss and a charming gazebo. It is bordered by The Citadel to the west which has a beautiful historic campus. This is Eve's dad's favorite place to go when visiting Charleston!
If you're a shopper, King Street is the street for you! Full of shops and restaurants to fill an afternoon! Some of our favorite stores: Tecovas, Dumas & Sons, Sézane, Candlefish, Crogan's.
One of the nation's oldest public markets and the cultural heart of Charleston. This market is home to more than 300 vibrant entrepreneurs, and is open every day of the year except Christmas!
White Point Garden is located in the heart of the historic district downtown. This park provides beautiful views of Fort Sumter and of the Charleston Harbor. The park features lots of grass space, shaded by beautiful oak trees. The park has a gazebo in the center and features a rich display of history, including an impressive display of Civil War cannons, and several monuments and statues.
Folly is one of three public beaches in the Charleston area. Folly is known for being laid back, fun, and tourist-friendly. If staying here be sure to check out Revelry Brewing, Chico Feo, Rita's, and the Washout.
Sullivan's Island is another public beach located over the bridge past Mount Pleasant. Sullivan's vibe is sceneic and less tourist-centric. Our favorite station is station 26. Our favorite places to eat on Sullivan's are Obstinate Daughter (specifically Beardcats olive oil ice cream), Poe's Tavern, and, of course, Home Team!
