A black-tie optional dress code traditionally refers to formal tuxedos or dark suits for men and floor-length dresses or fancy tea-length dresses for women. Please avoid wearing white, off-white, or ivory. Bridesmaids will be in brown. The reception and ceremony will both be outdoors so please dress accordingly.

Many locals consider September a summer month. The average maximum temperature in Charleston in September is 83°F, with the lowest being 55°F. Charleston is known for being humid year-round. Please check the weather forecast beforehand and dress accordingly.
The ceremony will begin at 5pm. Please plan on arriving early enough to park and find a seat. Parking is available at the ceremony park and guests can move their cars to the reception venue approx 0.25 miles down the road from the park after the ceremony.
Yes. Guests will park at our ceremony Serenity Park, 5035 Trexler Ave, Hollywood, SC 29449. After the ceremony, guests will be instructed to move their cars to our venue, Old Wide Awake, 5149 Trexler Ave, Hollywood, SC 29449. The ceremony and reception venues are approximately 0.2 miles apart. If necessary, you can leave your car overnight at the venue and pick it up promptly on Sunday morning. It is of the utmost importance to us that our family and friends get home safely after our event.
Uber and Lyft will be available; however, we recommend you schedule your ride home at the night's end (10pm) in advance if you believe you will need an Uber or Lyft home. Our venue is in a less busy part of town.
We love your children, we really do. However, we kindly request that this be an adult-only event with the exception of the children in the bridal party. We hope that you will understand our decision and use this as your night off to celebrate with us!
