Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Hopefully warm and sunny :) All jokes aside, the average temperature in late August in Chittenden is 74 during the day and can drop to the low 50's at night.

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony will be held atop a sweeping meadow with panoramic views of the resort, valley, lake and surrounding mountain range. . In the event of poor weather, the ceremony will be held on the loft of the Barn. The reception will be held in the Barn located just steps from the main lodge.

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

If there is no space at the venue, where can I stay?

Answer

We have a room block at the nearby (17 minute drive) at the Best Western Rutland-Killington. When booking, please reference the Evans/Magnuson wedding. Discount room/suite rates are available.

Is there transportation to and from the off site hotel (Best Western)?

Answer

Yes! August 26, 2022 | Welcome Party Depart from Best Western: 6 PM & 6:45 PM Depart from Mountain Top Inn (Pavilion): 9 PM & 10:15 PM August 27, 2022 | Wedding Ceremony & Reception Transportation departs from the Best Western to the Mountain Top Inn at 3:15 PM. Hourly Return shuttles from Mountain Top Inn to Best Western Inn and Suites from 9:00 PM - 2:00 AM.
