I guess you could say it all started on social media! We followed each other on twitter months before actually meeting in person. I saw him on the basketball court during a DeSoto vs Hillsboro basketball game and thought he was so cute! We eneded up meeting at our friend Steven’s house one night for the first time and I could not tell you how many laughs we shared and it just took off from there!
We had just arrived at our campground in Grand Teton National Park after a long but beautiful 24 hour drive. With 4 nose bleeds and eyes we couldn’t keep open, we were so happy to finally be able to rest. Well, at least I was. Caleb was begging to go see these barns that were the most photographed barns in America. I was so OVER IT. I threw my hair in a bun and put on my sun glasses (not gonna lie, I looked hungover). When we got to the barns everything seemed normal. When I tell you I was not expecting it, I was NOT expecitng it. Had I have known, I would’ve pampered myself up a bit (HAHA). We stopped at the first barn and took in the views. We drove over to the second barn (which is where the ceremony is btw), and waited to get the perfect picture. A this point, I kind of felt something was weird. His little brother, Carter, held up his phone and started “taking pictures” of us. Little did I know he was actually recording! After his dad lowered his camera, I looked over and there he was digging in his pocket. You always dream of what the moment will feel like when you get engaged but nothing will ever compare to the actual moment. My heart stopped, I heard AWE’s in the background, it was incredible. Caleb was so nervous! For a while there after all we could do was talk about our wedding! I can not thank his dad, brother, and my family enough for keeping a secret for so long.
