The Love Story: Our story began in the fall of 2022 when Kayla, having just moved to the Washington, DC area, found herself at Del Ray Baptist Church. Little did she know that chance would seat her next to Evan, who had been a DC resident for two years. As fate would have it, our connection started growing through Sunday services and church events. Milestones: After several chance encounters, Evan mustered the courage to ask Kayla on a coffee date. And don't worry, folks, there was tea involved too! Over the next few months, our relationship blossomed through weekly dinners, hikes, and sightseeing around the NOVA area. Memorable spots included the National Gallery of Art, the Museum of Illusions, the Museum of the Bible, the Portrait Gallery, Harpers Ferry, Mount Vernon, and Baltimore. Individual Stories: Evan, with his charm, kindness, and patience, worked his way into Kayla's heart. Though Kayla was slow to be won over, the connection deepened with each shared moment and experience. Our journey was enriched by discovering common interests and creating lasting memories together. Proposal Story: A year later, at the National Cathedral, Evan surprised Kayla with a heartfelt proposal. The day was filled with special moments and a little party to celebrate our love. It was a beautiful chapter in our story, symbolizing the commitment we were ready to make to each other.
