Meet Lina's bestie since 2020! Lina and Ashley met at Lina/CJ's housewarming, where Lina innocently assumed Ashley was hispanic LOL. Feel free to ask her for that story! Ashley has attended numerous music festivals and trips with Lina. They will both be attending Tomorrowland together this summer! They share a love for food, music, and working out.

Meet Lina's long-time friend, Lan! Lina and Lan met through their SO who attended dental school together. Since meeting and bonding over the experience of long-distance relationships, Lan and Lina have also attended numerous music festivals and trips together. You can normally find these two going to workout classes together or co-planning trips/events.

Meet Lina's long-distance bestie! Lina and Destiny attended high school together, where they would often spend their weeks hitting the gym followed by acai bowls. Lina often visits Destiny in Vegas to eat at their favorite restaurant, Din Tai Fung. Destiny is the world's best dog mom and has two sweet sons!

Meet Lina's sweetest friend, Phiphi! Lina met Phiphi through CJ almost 7 years ago. Phiphi stood out to Lina because she was remarkably friendly and kind and made Lina feel welcome in a new friend group. They've made countless precious memories, lots of festivals/birthdays, over the past 7 years even though they live hours apart. Phiphi is a social butterfly and will easily befriend anyone she meets. While she may look teeny and harmless, don't let the size fool you. Phiphi is a tank and can party like a rockstar! She has the heart and energy of a kid and its why everyone adores her!
Shaun Sigurdson

One of the first memories CJ has of Shaun goes way back to their freshman year in dental school, when they were studying cavity prevention in class, and Shaun had bags of sticky candy in his backpack—classic Shaun, lol. Despite the grueling program at UTHSCSA, they blew off steam by hitting the gym and getting ripped together. Some of CJ’s fondest memories with Shaun come from traveling and going to festivals. CJ even 'taught' Shaun how to shuffle, and Shaun quickly became a pro! You’ll definitely see them tearing up the dance floor on 11/1 ;)
Johnson Cheng

Not many people know this, but before college even started, Johnson made CJ be friends with him at fish camp. At first, CJ thought it was really odd, but it turned out to be the beginning of a great friendship that’s lasted since 2006. The two became inseparable—hanging out, living together, eating, and partying—and eventually ended up in the same city. CJ will always remember how generous Johnson was, treating him to meals when they were both struggling with money in college.

CJ met Johnny during dental school through their shared friend group. One memory that still cracks CJ up is when they woke up in a hotel room one morning and found Johnny sleeping under this hilariously ugly green blanket covered in pandas—about as Asian as it gets. Throughout the intense and traumatic experience at UTHSCSA, Johnny and CJ would blow off steam by playing a ton of basketball together, always competing in hand skills and in clinic. After dental school, they ended up rooming together for 5 years, and Johnny introduced CJ to some incredible people along the way.

Partying every weekend at Hoang’s house brought CJ and Tu really close. They’d eat out, go wild, and do some ridiculous things—talking to girls at bars and all that ( mostly Tu ;) ). CJ remembers one night when they went to a grocery store to buy flowers for a girl Tu wanted to confess his feelings to, but Tu ended up getting rejected, lol. Thankfully, things turned out for the best—Tu is now with an amazing girl! Eventually, Tu and CJ teamed up to start a dental practice together in Humble, TX.

Meet Peter! Lina and CJ's long-time friend. Lina met Peter through CJ and instantly bonded with him through their love of drinking and edm. Peter is the big bro Lina always needed. He is full of kindness and generosity, just like his wife Phiphi. CJ and Lina have loved raving and making memories with the two. We are thankful Peter will be marrying us, his first time being an officiant!
