PASSPORTS
Answer
You will need your passport to enter the Bahamas. Check those expiration dates now! Though wait times for passport renewals have drastically improved from last year, standard passport renewals currently fall between eight and eleven weeks.

CURRENCY EXCHANGE
Answer
The US Dollar and Bahamian Dollar (1:1 exchange rate) are both accepted throughout the island (as are most major credit cards) so exchanging money won't be necessary. An ATM can be found at the RBC branch at the top of Dunmore Street. Be sure you have some cash handy upon arrival for taxis/transport!

WILL MY CELLPHONE WORK?
Answer
Yes, most carriers offer international day passes for a small fee, though the cell service on Harbour Island can sometimes be unreliable. Most of the hotels and rental homes offer WiFi.

HOW WILL I GET TO/FROM WEDDING EVENTS?
Answer
The Welcome Cocktail will be held at Pink Sands on Harbour Island. The Wedding Celebration will be held at The Other Side on Eleuthera. We will have boats scheduled to bring people back and forth at the beginning and end of both events.

CAN WE BRING THE KIDS?

If you decide to bring the kids, please book a babysitter on Friday night. Kids may join the Welcome Cocktail on Thursday and the Beach Recovery Farewell on Saturday! If you would like to explore Harbour Island, we recommend renting a golf cart. The Other Side can help coordinate a rental. Transportation will be organized for you for wedding events

A golf cart rental is the most convenient way to explore Harbour Island. Remember to drive on the LEFT SIDE of the road. Rates will vary, but you can expect to pay about $65 - 95/day. You can also inquire with your hotel or airbnb who may have a cart rented on your behalf. Gas and delivery/pickup should be included for all rentals. As of September 2022, the COVID-19 testing requirement for entering The Bahamas has been eliminated. All travelers, regardless of vaccination status, are no longer required to submit to pre-travel COVID-19 testing to enter the country.
