Wedding Party

Our close friends and loved ones we have chosen to be a part of our ceremony.

Sally Boyd

Officiant

Sally was Julia and Evan's roommate for over 2 years. She had a front-row seat to development of their love. Sally was the natural option to be the person that joins their lives forever. Sally was born and raised in Grand Junction.

John Linko

Speaker at the Ceremony/Father of the Groom

John is the reason that Evan found himself in Grand Junction. Evan and Julia are honored to call Evan's childhood home that John and Evan's late mother Jan purchased in 1999 their home. John lives Leetsdale, PA, with his wife Leslie and family. John has worked in public safety and emergency management for 30+ years.

Kimberly Brumfield

It is a friendship that could move mountains. Kimberly is a talented working artist that lives in Georgetown, KY with her long-term boyfriend, Raul Pena.

Ryan Toolen

Best Man

Ryan is Evan's oldest friend. They met on the first day of kindergarten when Evan forgot a snack, and Ryan shared his chips with him. They tell this story a lot. Attending all but one year of school together, and getting into plenty of hijinks and deep powder, Evan and Ryan shared jobs in kitchens and at Powderhorn mountain resort, which led Ryan to his current role as a lift mechanic, installing new ski lifts at resorts every summer.

Amber Abner

Bridesmaid

Amber is Julia's oldest friend. Meeting over a decade ago through mutual friends, a strong friendship immediately bloomed. The mutual friends fell to wayside but theirs endured. Weeks in Florida, camping, and hours playing games forged their tight bonds. Amber lives in Berea, KY and works as a speech language pathologist.

Chris Clark

Groomsman

Chris and Evan met through work at their college newspaper, the Criterion. Chris soon moved into Evan's home when a room was available. Chris and Evan, both devoted to skiing and rafting, have always found a way to do these together. Their mutual interests and friendship have kept them in touch through more than one relocation, the most recent of which brought Chris back to Grand Junction, where he works in the Pharmaceutical industry.

Brooke Mecham

Bridesmaid

Brooke and Julia both grew up in Madison County, KY, about 20 miles apart. They became friends while working at the Boone Tavern Hotel. After Julia moved to Grand Junction, Brooke joined soon after and the friend blossomed. Adventures, beautiful places, and sharing in challenges both mental and physical keep these two close. Brooke is married to Erik Thun and is pursuing her Masters of Social Work at Colorado Mesa University.

Jack Laiche

Groomsman

Jack and Evan met nearly 10 years ago through mutual friends in Grand Junction. Fueled by anime, hip-hop, punk rock, food, and tattoos, Evan and Jack built a friendship that intersected with their jobs in the culinary world, and outside it. Jack is working his way towards being a licensed tattoo artist, and still occasionally works at Trail Life, the last kitchen Evan recruited him into.

Malory Rosenbaum

Bridesmaid

Malory was one of Julia's first friends upon moving to Grand Junction. The woes of food service brought them close but mutual support and love kept them close. Bonding over DIY, thrifting, and food and beverage brought these two close. Malory now lives in Norfolk, VA with her husband Josh Rosenbaum. She works as a chef.

Zach Stone

Groomsman

Zach and Evan first met each other working in one of the more chaotic kitchens in the Grand Valley.
