We truly recommend it for our friends from out of town, as all wedding events and lodgings (as well as nearly everything on this page) are only a short bike ride apart. We recommend Ruby Canyon Cycles on Main Street, or Bicycle Outfitters on 1st for Mountain/Gravel bike rentals, and Brown Cycles on Main Street for road or cruiser options.
There are Lime and Byrd scooters here that are very affordable to rent for zipping around town, ride at your own risk!
A gorgeous green space next to the Colorado River, just south of downtown. Also the best place to access the Riverfront Trail, where we highly recommend bicycling. Also has: playgrounds, dog park, bike jumps, zip line.
Gorgeous vistas, killer photo ops, great hikes, and just a short drive from downtown.
Beautifully designed and full of interesting resources about the history of the place we call home, also has a large and impressive section for kids.
Great mountain biking, and quick hikes or trail running not far from downtown.
The world's largest flat-top mountain overlooks Grand Junction. Home to 200+ pristine sub-alpine lakes, immense Aspen groves, and Powderhorn Mountain Resort, where Evan and Julia went on their first date. 45 minute drive from Grand Junction.
Where Julia currently goes to school. A gorgeous campus worth taking a stroll through.
Named "the next Napa Valley" by more than one credible source. A 15 minute drive east towards the Mesa will bring you to Colorado's largest Wine Country.
One of Julia's first jobs in Grand Junction. Great coffee, and just around the corner from our house.
The best coffee on Main Street, walking distance from all venues. We have a deep preference that our guests not consume franchise, chain coffee during their time here for our wedding.
Arguably Evan and Julia's favorite Mexican food in the valley. Not very close to downtown, but on DoorDash. Try the Birria or breakfast burritos.
Amazing cocktails from GJ legend Gavin. This is where the day-after brunch will be held, but we encourage you to stop by beforehand if you have the time.
Evan's last stint in the service industry was at Trail Life, some items he came up with are still on the menu. Laid back, outdoorsy vibes with generous food portions, craft beer, and a superb cocktail program. Ideal for lunch or dinner, kid friendly.
If you want something more upscale during your stay, arguably the best restaurant in downtown Grand Junction.
A downtown GJ staple, delivers. Ideal for lunch or dinner, kid friendly.
Another of Evan's former employers. Great for lunch from the deli, snacks, travel provisions, and the only liquor store on Main St.
An excellent spot to hang out with a huge patio. Never a bad food truck parked outside.
Another great place for breakfast, lunch, and coffee in downtown GJ, located in the back of probably it's coolest bike shop.
The biggest antique store between Denver and Las Vegas. Lots of rare finds.
An essential stop with an amazing selection on Main St.
Evan's personal favorite antique store on Main St.
