Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu
A must do for your trip to Peru. We recommend staying in the town of Ollantaytambo and planning your Machu Picchu excursion from there! Please be sure to book this in advance as train tickets and Machu Picchu entry tickets are limited per day and often sell out. Our preferred tour provider recommends booking this 5 months in advance!

The town of Ollantaytambo is likely our favorite town in the Sacred Valley. Many ruins to explore and things to do.
Pisac
A beautiful market town. A stop in Pisac will be full of local goods to bring home such as alpaca clothing, jewelry, and art.
Saqsaywaman
The second most sacred site to the Inca after Machu Picchu. Located just outside of the city of Cusco. We highly recommend visiting Saqsaywaman. A guide is recommended here, as they can add lots of context to the ruins!

Salt mines in operation since pre-Incan times.
Vinicunca (Rainbow Mountain)
Also called "The Mountain of Seven Colors." Highly recommended daytrip out of Cusco. High elevation tour, you will be at ~16,000ft above sea level!
