Our Story

We can thank Plumstead Christian School for bringing us together! We met as freshmen in 2016, but it was not until Spanish class the following year that we became close friends.

Evan always enjoyed making people laugh with his quick humor. Lucky for him, it's not hard to make Anna laugh. Because of her constant giggles at his jokes, Evan developed a crush on her that year.

We grew closer as we bonded over the challenges of Pre-Calculus during Junior year. Text exchanges on homework questions soon turned to conversations about interests and inside jokes.

At the end of Junior year, Anna reflected on her feelings toward Evan with some friends (thanks Cassidy!). She decided that it couldn't hurt to hang out one-on-one and see where things went.

Knowing Evan would not make the first move, she invited him on a "not-a-date" adventure to see The Secret Life of Pets 2. This hangout went really well, except one small detail...

When we went to pay for the movie tickets, Evan realized he forgot his wallet in the car. Anna quickly responded with "Don't worry, it's not like this is a date or anything!" and paid for both.

Evan insisted he pay for ice cream afterward. We (especially Anna) laughed endlessly that evening. Just a few "not-a-date" adventures later, we made our relationship official on June 27th, 2019.

Since then, we have grown immensely as individuals and as a couple. We have been stretched by the hardships of loss, challenges of long distance, and craziness of college. By God's grace, here we are!

We cannot wait to celebrate these past 5 years and the start of forever. LET'S GET MARRIED!!!
