Amy's Version After chatting for a week online (thanks, Hinge!), we decided to meet for drinks at Agua Verde on a sunny Sunday in August 2019. I was waiting along the lakeside when he showed up 20 minutes late. His smile and his storytelling kept me captivated long after the sun went down. When it was finally time to say goodbye, he went in for a kiss… and missed! His attempt landed awkwardly on the edge of my lips, with a lot of cheek. I giggled and suggested that we try again. Needless to say, I’m glad we did! Evan's Version From our week of talking, and knowing it was going to be warm, I wanted the first place we met to be near the water. I told her I was running late because of traffic, but really it was because I couldn’t figure out what to wear. I must have tried on 15 different shirts before I settled on my outfit. It was a good thing that I did, because she said that she liked it. And boy, did I like her back! From the first instant that I saw her turn around to say hello, I just knew that she was different. Informal drinks turned into dinner, which turned into a walk, which turned into an awkward goodbye hug - not a kiss! - with a lot of cheek… and here we are, getting married six years and lots of laughs later.
