Federico Garcia Lorca Granada (GRX) Airport

Granada airport is by far the most convenient for ariving to the city, with multiple daily connections through Madrid and Barcelona, and a 20min/€30 cab ride to the downtown. Plus the views out the window on the descent will really set the mood, with millions of acres of olive trees spread out below, and the Sierra Nevada on your left!

In case tickets all the way to Granada are complicated or expensive, take a look at entering Spain through Madrid or Barcelona, then booking local airfare with Iberia or Vueling or rail with Renfe, to get to Granada.

Malaga (AGP) Airport

This is a great option for international travellers within Europe because it has direct flights to most European cities. If you choose AGP, we highly recommend to rent a car for the duration of your stay. US guests, be advised you might be tempted to go through AGP, but we recommend MAD or BCN as you will most likely need to stop anyway in one of these cities.

Getting around Granada

TAXIS Uber is not so common but taxis are readily available throughout Granada. Hailing one on the street is common, or you can find them at designated taxi stands. Most cabs accept credit cards, but it's always a good idea to confirm before getting in. Our house is just a short 15-minute taxi ride from the city center, and taxis in Granada are known for being affordable and reliable. Taxis can be booked at www.pidetaxi.es/en/ (they've even got their own app) WALKING Granada is a pedestrian-friendly city, especially in the historic center. Most major attractions, shops, and restaurants are within walking distance. Stroll through the charming streets and discover the city's unique charm on foot. Important note: If you decide to rent a car, please be aware that many streets in the city center allow only buses and taxis. These restricted areas are clearly indicated, and entering them may result in fines.
