This iconic palace and fortress is a must-see in Granada. Tickets sell out quickly, so plan ahead for an unforgettable experience. You can buy tickets online through the official website. The Alhambra offers different type of visits. The most common options are the general visit, which includes access to the Alcazaba, Nasrid Palaces, and Generalife; and the Night Visit. Tickets are not transferable, and you will be required to provide an ID or passport number to purchase a ticket and present that same document upon entry. Your ticket will include the time for entry to the Nasrid Palaces (Palacios Nazaríes), which is the main monument of the complex. The rest of the areas, gardens, and sites can be explored at leisure as your ticket is valid for the entire day. If you are interested, check the guided tours as well.

The historic neighbourhood is a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the oldest parts of the city. It is a charming area with narrow alleyways and stunning views. A few places worth visiting: - Mirador de San Nicolás: Iconic viewpoint with stunning Alhambra and Sierra Nevada views. - Carrera del Darro: Riverside street known for its picturesque charm and historic buildings. - Albaicín Palaces: Explore ancient Moorish houses, showcasing intricate Islamic architecture. - Plaza Larga: Bustling square with lively markets, cafes, and a vibrant atmosphere. - Sacromonte Caves: Unique dwellings carved into hillsides, offering a flamenco-rich cultural experience. - Bañuelo Arab Baths: Ancient Arabic baths showcasing Granada's rich Moorish history. - Church of San Salvador: Gothic-Mudejar church with stunning architecture and historic significance.

19th-century construction made up of a palace building and vast gardens; a French Baroque garden with a large pond, which has a statue of Neptune in the centre and is surrounded by other statues that symbolise the four seasons; an English-style garden, the Palmeras Garden, with a three-tier fountain and irregular squares of hedge and with palm trees; the Spanish Garden, removed in 1960; the Paisajista Garden; the Lake - an irrigation pond that the vegetation tries to hide, making it look like a real lake, surrounded by two islets - the smallest for ducks and swans, the largest is a garden with hedges and a stone jetty with fake medieval ruins; the Nasrid Patio, built in 1944, which imitates the typical elements of Nasrid gardens; the wood-maze that served to join up the gardens. Schedule: From Monday to Friday from 10am-12pm and 6-8pm. Saturdays, Sundays from 10 am to 8 pm Price: Free

- Plaza Nueva: A lively square surrounded by restaurants and shops with views to Torre de la Vela. - Cathedral and Royal Chapel - Calle Oficios: A charming, historic street next to the cathedral. - Acaiceria: Lively historic market street with Moorish flair. - Corral del Carbón: Constructed in the 14th century, functioning as a storehouse and point of sale for wheat, as well as accommodation for merchants. -Plaza Bib-Rambla: Central square surrounded by cafes and shops, known for its lively atmosphere. We recommend you to eat "churros con chocolate". - Plaza de la Romanilla: beautiful square with many bars, ideal to eat something outside. - Plaza Trinidad: Nice, small park with a fountain near the cathedral. - Realejo neighbourhood: visit Campo del Príncipe, right at the foot of the Alhambra, with many bars and terraces. - Sacromonte: Renowned for its cave houses and famous for its flamenco shows.
