We would recommend that you stay for at least a week. It'll take roughly 2 days to overcome your jet lag, so it would make sense to arrive on the 20th or 21st and leave on the 28th-ish. There's so much to do and see near us and we're so excited for you to explore!
- The weather will be sunny (hopefully!) and in the mid 70's while you're here! Bring a few bathing suits, comfortable clothes for sightseeing and walking around, and at least one outfit that you'd feel comfortable going for a light hike in! You'll be spending lots of time at the beach, so sandals/flip flops are also recommended. - You can buy a USA - AUS power adapter at the airport. - Bring a pair of sneakers for hikes - You can easily buy sunscreen and bug spray when you arrive in Australia
Renting a car will give you the most freedom to adventure and explore the Gold Coast. However, you will be driving on the other side of the road, so if that makes you uncomfortable, rest assured that both Coolangatta and Byron Bay are very walkable towns. There are buses and shuttles from Coolangatta to Byron Bay every day, and Ubers are available as well. You can take an Uber from Gold Coast Airport to your accommodation in Coolangatta, and there are shuttles from Gold Coast Airport to or from Byron Bay.
We want you to be comfortable and feel gorgeous! Colorful semi-formal vibes. Suits or just a jacket for the guys! You'll be walking on grass, so don't wear spikey high heels.
Unfortunately, our venue does not have parking available, so you'll need to take the shuttle to and from the wedding. The shuttle will pick you up from Byron Surf Club before the ceremony on the 26th, and drop you off at Byron Surf Club after the wedding.
Our wedding venue does not have any parking available, so they prefer that we don't disclose the name of the venue. You will be picked up and dropped off by a shuttle at Byron Bay Surf Club on the 26th. We'll update this website with shuttle times when we get closer to the wedding!
