Travel Note
You will need to apply for an Electronic Travel Authority visa to enter Australia! It's super easy and they grant it immediately, but please don't forget to do this, otherwise you'll have an issue at the airport! This is the link, it costs $20AUD / $13 US to apply.
Travel Note
We recommend flying into Gold Coast Airport (OOL). Where we live in Coolangatta is 10 minutes from the airport, and Byron Bay is 45 minutes from the airport. The most direct way to get to Coolangatta includes 2 layovers, one in Los Angeles (or SF/Houston) and one in Sydney or Melbourne. Please note - there are no direct flights from the US to Gold Coast Airport. You will need to have a layover in either Sydney or Melbourne first. The flight from Sydney to Gold Coast is approximately 1 hour long, and Melbourne to GC is 2-ish hours long. Please note that between travel time / time differences, you will arrive in Australia 2 days after you leave America. For example, if you leave the US on the 20th of October, you will arrive in Australia on the 22nd. On the way back, you will arrive the same day you leave. Time is crazy! If you're trying to book the cheapest possible fights, you can save money by booking a series of separate tickets. For example - if you’re flying to the Gold Coast from New York, you could fly to LA first, and then book a separate flight from Los Angeles to Sydney, etc. Just please be sure to leave at least 2-3 hours between flights to ensure that you make your layover in time! Remember, you'll be going through customs in Sydney/Melbourne. A layover in New Zealand, Hawaii, or Fiji is easy to navigate and can also bring the cost of the flight down. Reminder that you will be very jetlagged for the first two-ish days :) If you have any questions, feel free to ask us!

Here's a list of Air BNB's to check out in Coolangatta! There are definitely more available than what's on this list, but this should give you a good idea of where to stay. We recommend that you stay in Coolangatta from when you arrive, until the 25th!
Hotel
This one is right on the beach in Kirra and is mid-range price-wise, it’s literally just around the hill from Cal and Eva. It’s by no means trendy but it’s got a few more modern touches than the median beachside hotel.
Hotel
This is a renovated mid-century hotel right on Greenmount Beach. Maybe 200 yards from Callum and Eva's house. You couldn't beat this for convenience but perhaps not ideal for the larger parties. It sits right on top of a pretty rowdy dive bar Eddie’s which is either a massive draw-back or draw-card depending on your vibe.
Hotel
Right on the beach at Greenmount. Another super convenient spot that would suit a family with kids for sure.
Hotel
OK so this one is in probably the best location and it’s like a time-warp from the late 80s. Definitely not the chic luxury hotel experience but a super fun, kitsch family holiday vibe that would've been Cal's dream when he was 13 and just wanted to surf his brains out all day. Google it, look at the photos, you CAN NOT beat this view and it is right in the heart of Rainbow Bay.
Hotel
Honestly, another one exactly like the above. Like most things on the Gold Coast, trapped in the late 80’s and proudly out of fashion. This one also has a tennis court though which we thought some people (Michael Lewen and Patrick Yee) might appreciate.
Travel Note
We recommend that you stay in Byron Bay from the 25th - 27th or 28th. Please note that wedding shuttle pick up and drop off is at Byron Bay Surf Club!
Hotel
Really nice modern hotel in the heart of town, walking distance from everything including the beach. Rooftop pool and bar looks great
Hotel
This is central, a block back from the main strip of Byron Bay. It’s Adult Only but not in a weird way haha.
Hotel
A 5-minute drive south of Byron Bay and you’re in Suffolk Park. This is the best spot. The resort is amazing, you can get to the beach in a few minutes by foot and you're across the road from the local Golf Course. There’s a really nice bakery for breakfast on the corner of Suffolk Park too. You’ll want a car, or at least a bike to get into Byron, but the resort has delicious food.
Hotel
This is technically a hostel/backpackers but honestly really nice and super affordable if you're looking to save some money on accommodation in Byron! Right on the beach in Belongil <3
