We’re getting married! ¡Nos casamos!

It all started with a big move from the quiet charm of Benton, Arkansas to the vibrant heart of Austin, Texas. Post-college, Sergio was offered a full-time position in Austin to kick off my career. Exciting? Absolutely. Easy? Not quite. Adjusting to a new city, new job, and new life took some time. To keep busy and stay grounded, Sergio joined Gold’s Gym and ended up spending a lot of time there while trying to find his footing. And that’s where things got interesting. One day at the gym, this beautiful girl came up to him mid-set, smiled, and asked for his number… Sike!! That never happened. She didn’t notice him at all. But he definitely noticed her and after a few not-so-successful attempts to get her attention, Jenny finally gave Sergio a chance, probably just to get him to stop bugging her! But hey, it worked. Our first date was at Double Dave’s, and while it might not have been five stars, it was the beginning of something better than either of us could have expected. From that point on, everything just clicked. Whether it was long talks, gym dates, shared laughter, or quiet nights in, we found something special. Austin, once just a place to start a career, became the city where we found our forever. Now, surrounded by our favorite people, we’re ready for the next chapter of marriage. We’re so thankful for the journey that brought us here, every awkward gym encounter included, and we can’t wait to see what comes next. Después de la universidad, a Sergio le ofrecieron un trabajo de tiempo completo en Austin para arrancar su carrera. ¿Emocionante? ¡Sin duda! ¿Fácil? No tanto. Y fue ahí donde las cosas se pusieron interesantes. Un día, en el gimnasio, una chica hermosa se me acercó a mitad de serie, le sonrió… y le pidió su número. ¡JA! ¡Mentira! Eso nunca pasó. Ella ni lo pelaba. Pero el sí la noto. Después de varios (nada exitosos) intentos por llamar su atención, Jenny por fin me dio una oportunidad—probablemente solo para que dejara de molestarla. ¡Pero funcionó! Nuestra primera cita fue en Double Dave’s, y aunque no fue exactamente de cinco estrellas, fue el inicio de algo mucho mejor de lo que cualquiera de los dos se imaginaba. A partir de ahí, todo hizo clic. Ya fueran charlas largas, días de gimnasio, risas compartidas o noches tranquilas, encontramos algo especial. Austin, que al principio solo era el lugar donde empezarían sus carreras, se convirtió en la ciudad donde conocíeron un para siempre. Y ahora, rodeados de las personas que más queremos, estamos listos para el siguiente capítulo: el matrimonio. Estamos profundamente agradecidos por el camino que nos trajo hasta aquí, ¡incluidos todos esos encuentros incómodos en el gym! No podemos esperar a ver qué nos depara lo que viene.
