We first met at Lake Park High School when we were 14 — just two awkward teenagers who had no idea we’d found our forever person. It didn’t take long before we were inseparable! Fun fact: Marissa was the one who got Ethan into golf….and now we’re both obsessed! Between ice cream runs, football games, and late-night drives, we’ve packed a lot of memories into these years together. When the pandemic canceled our prom and graduation in 2020, we didn’t let it stop us. With the help of our amazing parents, we threw our own backyard prom — and it’s still one of our favorite memories. College sent us in different directions at first: Ethan to UIUC for economics and Marissa to COD for dental hygiene. But the distance didn’t last long — she transferred to Parkland College, just 10 minutes from UIUC (worked out pretty conveniently, right?). By May 2024, we’d both graduated — Ethan with a degree in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics, and Marissa with her Dental Hygiene certification. Our post-grad summer was unforgettable: Italy for the food, Punta Cana for a family wedding, and Kauai for sunshine and views (and you guessed it, plenty more golf)! Our first place together is in Bloomingdale, and it happens to be right across from a golf course. We’re working on our careers, fixing up our first home, and keeping our dog Lola (very) spoiled along the way! We’re so grateful for where this journey has taken us and even more excited for all that’s ahead! With love, laughter, and faith at the center, we know the best is yet to come!
