Plane: You can fly into Albany airport which is about a 40 minute drive to Hudson, NY but would need to rent a car. You could also fly into JFK airport in the city or LGA. Your option from the NYC airports are to rent a car and drive to Hudson, NY or go to Penn Station in NYC and take a train to Hudson, NY. The train station is close to Warren Street where all of the hotels in Hudson are located. If you book the Holiday Inn Express the train will NOT take you close to the hotel. Train: Depending on where you are coming from, taking an Amtrak train is also an option as well (we have taken it many times from DC)! Your station of destination would be Hudson, NY. It takes about two hours from New York City to get there.
We love your kids but thought you might like a night off. Adults only please!
Yes! There will be transportation provided for guests both to and from the wedding celebration. If you are staying at the Holiday Inn, after the reception a bus will take you back to the hotel or you have the option of coming to the afterparty as well. The bus will also stop in Hudson for those staying in Hudson to disembark and for those wanting to head to the after party. If you are staying at the Holiday Inn and choose to attend the after party there will also be a bus to take you back to the hotel at 1am.
Please refer to the schedule tab of the website for complete details!
The short answer to this question is "yes." There are many different modes of transportation in the area, but there may be a wait for them to get to you (meaning order ahead of time because it may take 15-20 minutes for the ride to get to you). There are many Uber and Lyft drivers in the area so you can use the apps. Here are some taxi services in the area, all have their main hub in Hudson or Ghent, NY: Hudson Region Transport 518-697-0056 Cubs Taxi 518-929-6005 Valley Taxi and Livery 518-267-0707 McManns Transportation 519-610-0071
Please feel free to get a taxi or an uber/lyft to the venue, but please note that you can always drive your car there, party as you please, and leave your car overnight! We have the barn for the weekend so you can always go ahead and pick up your car the next day. Whatever feels like the best choice for you.
