Gwen and Jake found each other online, and when meeting in person realized very soon that each had found the love they'd been looking for their whole lives. Our first date started at brunch, followed by a walk along the pier, antiquing, then a movie (Barbie). We didn't want it to end! And we've been together ever since.

On June 9th, 2024, Gwen and Jake had a picnic on a beautiful day in late spring. They drove up Chuckanut to Woodstock Farms, where they were the only ones in a green field overlooking the train tracks and the distant ocean beyond. Jake read Gwen a poem he had written before popping the question, and presenting a beautiful antique diamond ring.
