The beautiful Buda castle, an unforgettable fixture of the city skyline. Farbod and Eszter actually met here at the annual Budapest wine festival. Make sure to make your way over to Fisherman's Bastion and Matthias church for a gorgeous photo-op. All three of these attractions are located on Castle hill in Buda. It is accessible by foot or car but there is also historic cable car that takes you up the hill.
Arguably the most iconic building in Budapest boasting an impressive Gothic architectural style. It's impossible to miss and definitely worth a visit. We would advise to skip the guided tour of the inside as the glory of the building truly lays on the outside.

The Central Park of Budapest! Enjoy a day in the sun on Margit Island which can be easily accessed from Margit bridge. If you're coming with children consider visiting Palatinus, a waterpark located on the island. Also a great place to go for a run if you're looking to get some exercise during your stay.
The Dohány street synagogue, built between 1854 and 1859, is a phenomenal piece of architecture found in the VII. district. You can also visit the Memorial and Jewish museum located on the grounds of the synagogue.

Take a short hike (25-30 min) up Gellért hill to see the statue of liverty and the citadel overlooking the Danube. Great place to lay in the park or take children to the local playground.

Városliget is a beautiful park home to many beautiful attractions. It is located directly behind Heroes square and is home to the Széchényi bathhouse and Budapest Zoo. The Museum of Fine Arts and the Palace of the Arts flank the entrance to the park. One of the most impressive attractions found here is the historical Vajdahunyad castle built in 1896 for the Millennial Exhibition
If you are coming with children or an animal lover consider visiting the beautiful Budapest Zoo and Botanical garden located in the city center.
Visit the original ruin pub found in the heart of downtown Budapest. This bar encompasses the eclectic nightlife aesthetic you will see all over Budapest. You can find tons of other great bars on Kazinczy street and the neighboring area. We recommend getting here somewhat earlier in the evening as it is a very popular bar.
