We're getting married!

From the very beginning of their relationship, Estefany and Alexei shared a dream: one day they would travel together to see the Northern Lights. It was always at the top of their bucket list and something they often talked about experiencing together. In 2025, when it was announced that Northern Lights activity would be at one of its highest levels in years, Estefany kept mentioning how much she wanted to finally go see them. What she didn’t know was that Alexei had already been quietly planning something much bigger than just a trip. He had the perfect proposal in mind. Estefany thought they were heading to Pennsylvania for a simple ski trip. Instead, Alexei surprised her with a trip to the airport and a destination she never could have guessed — Iceland. Once they arrived, the odds didn’t seem to be in their favor. The weather was rainy and cloudy — the exact conditions you don’t want when you’re hoping to see the Aurora. But somehow, it felt like it was meant to happen exactly the way it did. On the night of the proposal, they went out Aurora hunting, searching for clear skies where the lights might appear. For nearly three hours they drove around Iceland, looking for the perfect spot, while Estefany remained completely unaware of what Alexei had planned. Finally, they found it. Even though rain surrounded the area, there was one small clearing in the sky — the perfect place at the perfect moment. That’s when Alexei asked the most important question of their lives: “Will you marry me?” Completely shocked and overwhelmed, Estefany could barely find the words. All she could say was, “Oh my God!” And of course… the answer was yes.
