We’re getting married!

Essie and Chase first crossed paths in September 2020. They both went to small schools in Farmville, Virginia—Essie at Longwood University and Chase at Hampden-Sydney College. Their sorority and fraternity were always hanging out with each other, but somehow they never officially met. That changed when Chase was invited to Essie’s sorority house— known as “Cat House,” for a typical pre‑game before everyone headed to The Press Club. That first conversation was easy, natural, and full of the little sparks their relationship is filled with. From that night on, they were basically inseparable. Essie and Chase realized how close their worlds already were: Chase grew up in Newport News, and Essie grew up in Chesapeake. They spent a majority of their lives only being miles apart—just waiting to meet at the perfect time. And now, after five years together, they could not be any happier to announce their marriage and celebrate it with their closest friends and family.
