FAQs

If you have any questions beyond what's listed below, please feel free to reach out to Rachel or Andrew.
Question

How will I get updates before & during the wedding weekend?

Answer

We have created a group in WhatsApp with all of our guests to receive updates. Please download this app on your phone as we will send out important information during the wedding weekend if needed. If you are not in the group, please ask someone to add you or text Andrew or Rachel.

Question

Do I need a passport, visa, other documents?

Answer

Passport: Yes, a valid passport is required which must be valid for at least 3 months beyond the period of your stay. Visa: TBD. Currently, US citizens can travel to Italy for up to 90 days without a visa. However, starting in 2025 you may need to apply for ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System). Note that this has been continuously postponed since 2022. You can sign up for updates on their website at www.etias.com Vaccinations: No requirements. International Drivers License: For information on obtaining international drivers licenses, contact the American Automobile Association (AAA) via telephone at (407) 444-7000.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

There are several excellent hotels, villas, and rentals around the area. Please see the "Travel & Places to Stay " page for more information.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Each event will have specific attire, so please check the "Schedule" page for details. You’re also welcome to bring a change of shoes for any villa events—there will be space available to store your belongings.

Question

Will I need to pay in local currency or is USD ok?

Answer

We encourage all guests to pay using local currency (Euro) or credit card. We recommend checking with your bank to ensure seamless travel. Additionally, keeping a small amount of cash on hand is a great idea since many businesses still prefer cash. There are many ATMs and currency exchanges in Italy where you can get cash.

Question

Will there be transportation provided for the events?

Answer

We are still in the planning process. We will have more information a few months before the wedding weekend.

Question

What events are planned for the wedding weekend?

Answer

We have several events planned, including a welcome dinner, the wedding ceremony and reception, a pool party, and wine tasting. Please see our schedule on the "Schedule" page.

Question

What should I do if I have dietary restrictions or allergies?

Answer

Please let us know about any dietary restrictions or allergies when you RSVP. We will make sure to accommodate your needs.

Question

What is the weather typically like at the destination?

Answer

The weather in Tuscany during June/July is typically in the 80s during the day. We recommend bringing appropriate clothing for warm weather and a sweater for the evening.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Please check your invitation for the number of guests included.

Question

Are children allowed during the weekend events?

Answer

We love your little ones, however, our events will be an adults-only celebration. Thank you for understanding.

Question

Will there be Wi-Fi or cell service available at the venue?

Answer

Yes, there will be Wi-Fi available at the venue. For cell service, you can either use your existing carrier, though this may incur additional costs, or consider purchasing an eSIM while in Italy.

Question

PLUGS/Outlets

Answer

If you're coming from the United States to Italy, you'll need a power plug adapter to fit Italian outlets. Italy primarily uses Type C, F, and L plugs: Type C: This is the most common plug in Europe, with two round pins. Type F: Similar to Type C but with grounding clips on the sides. Type L: This has three round pins in a line. In addition to the adapter, remember that the voltage in Italy is 230V, and the frequency is 50Hz. Ensure your devices support this voltage, or you'll need a voltage converter as well. Most modern electronics like phone chargers are dual voltage, but it's important to check. Check Amazon for adapters.
