This unique Danish Village is a must. It's a relaxed and peaceful setting with charming architecture, a few wineries, and authentic bakeries. We've provided the address of the Danish Mill Bakery, an excellent place to start. You NEED to get a kringle. (Psst: Get a hotel room here)
Bridlewood Estate Winery
If you can only visit a winery or two, make this one of them. We liked it so much, we got engaged here. Check their hours! Last tasting is usually at 4:30. (If you have time for 2-3 wineries... add Sunstone Winery & Gainey Winery to your list)
Quicksilver Ranch
Do you want to pet miniature horses? That was a rhetorical question. Of course you do. Just drive up and pet them for free. They're open 10-3pm.
Firestone Walker Brewing Company
Maybe wine isn't your thing. Not to worry, there's a brewery here! It has fresh pints, good eats, and a second, separate taproom for their special barrel aged brews.
Succulent Cafe
Grab a variety of tasty meals, or maybe a giant charcuterie board for everyone! (Pro tip: you can get it all)
Clairmont Farm Lavender Co
Another free, relaxing stop. The smell of lavender is so intoxicating, you're guaranteed to buy several things, from lotion, to tea, to a neck pillow with locally grown lavender.

Do you want to take a pleasant horseback ride in the hills, with the Pacific Ocean in the backdrop? Take advantage of this opportunity while you're in town. Unless you're my sister, you can't ride a horse just anytime.
Folded Hills Farmstead
You can purchase locally grown organic produce, or, go in the field and pick your own! We've picked both strawberries and cherry tomatoes (depending on what's in season). And, you can feed some of the grateful goats, donkeys, and kunekune pigs.
Ostrichland USA
Come see these giant ostriches and emus up close! You can feed them, and purchase eggs if you like. A unique and worthwhile experience.

Cachuma Lake
Take the 2 hour nature cruise. It's a comfortable cruise on a pontoon boat. You'll see a variety of wildflowers and wildlife.
Seein' Spots Farm
It's only open on Saturdays, but what a great way to start your day. There's an abundance of friendly rescue animals to pet, which is fun for more than just kids. Look how happy I am.
Hadsten House
We stay here every time. It is simply the best. Aside from the relaxed ambiance, jacuzzi, and food, with a night's stay they give you a voucher for free wine tastings in the surrounding area. You read that right: a voucher for free wine tastings! It's well worth the stay.
