Is the dress code enforced?

Answer

Yes! Reviews from others have advised that they do enforce the dress code, especially for men. Breakfast and lunch tends to be a little more relaxed than dinner and evening events. Please review the Excellence El Carmen website for approved attire and pack accordingly! If you go to the tab that shows all of the bars and restaurants, they will have dress codes for each one. The beach and pool bars are casual but the fancier bars like the martini bar, piano bar, night club bars are more formal.

Can I reserve a room in a category that is not in the room block?

As long as the room you want is available, yes! We encourage you to book ASAP, as we know this resort books up quickly. Especially for the "Excellence Club" room category.

What are the passport requirements?

Answer

Your passport must be valid for 6 months after your visit to Punta Cana.

Is airport transfer included?

Answer

Yes, transfers to and from are included and provided by the resort. In order to schedule this, you will need to provide Sherill with your flight information. There are options to upgrade to private transfer for an additional cost.

Is there anything I should bring if I've never been to an all-inclusive resort before?

-sunscreen -plenty of small bills for tipping -insulated tumbler cup with reusable straw- keeps those cocktails from melting too fast! -hangover essentials- advil, liquid IV, etc. -Again, nicer clothes for the evenings! Men, have some close toed shoes and at least one pair of long pants
