We always say we met surfing... and that's pretty much true. However, not sure if Scott remembers, but we actually first met at the last University of Florida surf club party of the school year in 2018, when I was a Sophomore and Scott was a Freshman. It was at that party that Scott decided to join the rowdiest group of MFs at the university, and I decided I might have a little crush on him. Anyways, we only briefly chatted at the party and went our own ways into summer break, nothing materialized. The new school year starts and some of the surf club girls are talking about the 'cute new guy' that moved into the 414 party house. I didn't even know that it was that guy I talked to at the party last semester but I was like "yea I'm gonna make him mine". Yes, I'm competitive. (; The whole surf group was at a party at the beginning of the Fall semester and some people were planning a surf day the next morning in St. Augustine. It just so happened that Scott and myself, both hungover, ended up going on this crack-of-dawn surfing day. This is when we say that we 'met.' We had so much fun that day and Scott was giving me surfing pointers and by the end of the day, I had finally caught my first wave on my own! For a month or two we were going on dates here and there- skateboarding the Hawthorn Trail, getting carry-out and watching sunset at Paynes Prairie, cooking dinner and getting wine drunk. I told Scott I wanted to take him to the wakeboarding cable park- where I spent many of my Freshman and Sophomore days. I think he thought he was going to be able to teach me a thing or two. But then I threw a backflip and stuck it. We started 'officially' dating that evening. Since then, we have had the best years and the best adventures. We can't wait to celebrate our special day with all of our favorite people! Cheers!
