We first met in March 2018 while Emily was interning in Pittsburgh and Dan was finishing his last semester at Pitt. Our first date was at Hemingway’s in Pittsburgh. After just a few dates, Emily’s internship ended and she moved back home to Texas, but we stayed in touch. Over the next few months, even though we weren’t officially dating yet, we talked constantly and made each other laugh every day. After graduating, Dan moved to Eastern PA for work, and Emily accepted a job at UCF in Orlando. A few months later, we made it official and started navigating life long-distance together, with visits, weekend adventures, and plenty of FaceTime calls in between. As our relationship grew stronger, we started making plans for a future in the same city. Emily hoped to move closer to Dan in 2020, but with the uncertainty of the pandemic, she accepted a new job in Auburn, Alabama instead. The long-distance adventures continued until July 2022, when Emily decided to take a leap of faith by quitting her job and moving to Pennsylvania so we could finally be together. Now we’re happily settled in Lansdale with our two cats, Ben and Penny (who Emily adopted in Florida and Dan has fully spoiled). Since then, life has been full of the little things we once only got to daydream about. Cooking dinners together, planning weekend drives with no destination, and simply getting to come home to each other (and the cats) every day. It’s been a lot of laughter, love, and learning how to build a life side by side. We can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter of our story with all of you!
