Find answers to commonly asked questions about our special day below! If you have any other questions, please reach out to Errol or Krystal ♡
Question

When should we arrive in Phuket?

Answer

To ensure a smooth transition and allow ample time to adjust for potential jet lag, time zone differences, and any unforeseen flight delays, we strongly advise arriving no later than Monday, January 13, 2025. For reference, we will be there on January 7th to have more time to explore Phuket.

Question

Where is the wedding ceremony & reception taking place?

Answer

Rosewood Phuket Address: 88/28,88, 30-33 Muen-Ngern Rd, Pa Tong, Kathu District, Phuket 83150, Thailand

Question

Will the wedding take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held on a garden lawn overlooking the ocean while the reception and party will be held inside with open glass doors.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Beach Semi-Formal attire *Light pastel sunset colors = beige, pink, dusty rose, light blue, lilac, grey. NO BRIGHT COLORS / NO RED / NO BLACK / NO JEANS please! For Men: • Linen Suit: a light-colored linen suit, such as beige or light gray, paired with a crisp dress shirt. The jacket can be optional. • Dress Shirt and Trousers: a well-fitted dress shirt (pastel colors or light patterns work well) with tailored trousers. You can roll up the sleeves for a more relaxed look. • Chinos and Blazer: pair chinos with a lightweight blazer. Opt for breathable fabrics like cotton or linen. • Footwear: loafers, boat shoes, or dress sandals are appropriate. Avoid flip-flops or sneakers. For Women: • Midi or Maxi Dress: a flowy, lightweight dress in a summery fabric such as chiffon or linen. Floral patterns or solid pastel colors are ideal. • Dressy Jumpsuit: a stylish jumpsuit in a breathable fabric can be both chic and comfortable. • Skirt and Blouse: a midi skirt paired with a dressy blouse. Fabrics like silk or cotton are both elegant and suitable for warm weather. • Footwear: sandals with a slight heel, dressy flats, or wedges. Avoid overly high heels as they can be impractical on sand and garden lawn.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 4:30pm on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. Please arrive 15-30 minutes beforehand.

Question

Will transportation be provided to and from the wedding venue?

Answer

Upon request, we can arrange for minivans to be scheduled for guest pickup to and from the wedding venue.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we adore having the little ones join in on the celebration, we kindly request that only children in our wedding party join us for our special day. We hope you understand and look forward to celebrating with you!

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one they will appear under your name when you RSVP.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes, we will be hosting a meet and greet on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, the evening before the wedding. For more information, please refer to the Schedule section.

Question

What is the weather like during this time of year?

Answer

Warm and sunny weather with occasional rain showers (often short-lived). The temperature during this time of the year generally ranges from around 75-88 degrees Fahrenheit. It’s generally quite humid as well.

Question

When do you suggest to book travel accommodations by?

Answer

To secure the best prices, we recommend booking your accommodations at least 3-6 months before the wedding date. We booked ours in June.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

There are dozens of hotels and resorts to choose from in Phuket, but we recommend staying near Patong Beach, as it's one of the most popular areas. We will be staying at Phuket Graceland Resort & Spa. We've also secured specially negotiated group rates for the week of the wedding at different hotels, which you can find by clicking the link under the Travel section. These rates offer significant discounts not available to the general public. However, they can fluctuate and sell out quickly, so it's best to book sooner rather than later. While this is an option, we also recommend exploring other hotel websites offering discounted rates, such as Expedia (our personal favorite). Please do your research. To give some background, Patong Beach offers a vibrant atmosphere with a wide range of accommodation options, restaurants, bars, shops, and nightlife. It's known for its bustling streets, lively nightlife scene, and its long sandy beach. It's also about a 15-30 minute drive to the wedding venue (Rosewood Phuket), depending on traffic conditions. If you enjoy being in the center of the action with plenty of entertainment options, Patong Beach is an excellent choice. However, if you prefer a quieter and more serene environment, you might want to consider staying in other parts of Phuket, such as Kata Beach or Karon Beach.

Question

What essential items should I bring for my trip to Thailand?

Answer

We recommend packing mosquito repellent, lightweight clothing, swimwear, comfortable footwear, high SPF sunscreen, a waterproof bag, a hat and sunglasses, a reusable water bottle, basic medications, a travel adapter, and copies of important documents. These essentials will help ensure a comfortable and enjoyable trip.

Question

Are there any specific COVID-19 guidelines or protocols in Thailand we should be aware of?

Answer

Currently, there are no COVID-19 restrictions, however, it’s essential to stay updated with the latest information from official sources such as the Thai government's Department of Disease Control or the Ministry of Public Health. Travel insurance is not mandatory but is highly recommended.

Question

Are there any cultural or local customs I should be aware of?

Answer

Most vendors and locals can speak conversational English. Otherwise, a translation app would suffice. Here are some useful words to know: • Hello = Sa-wa-dee-krup (Men); Sa-wa-dee-kha (Women) • Thank you = Khob-kun-krup (Men); Khob-kun-kha (Women) • Thai people like spicy food. So if you want no spice in your food at all you say Mai-ao-prik (no chili) • If you want to visit temples, dress modestly out of respect by covering the shoulders, knees, and ankles.

Question

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you cannot attend our wedding, please indicate this on your RSVP as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly. If it is close to the wedding date, please contact Errol or Krystal.
