We planned to spend the day visiting a friend, fraternity brother, and now groomsman, Matthew Muehlberger, in WInter Park, Florida. The day began with brunch at The Briarpatch and a walk in the park where we searched to what I thought was to be an average picture of us on vacation. We scouted out the best background for our picture and Austin insisted it be under a massive tree in the middle of the park. Our little photoshoot was interrupted by a young boy named Max who was running around and climbing on the tree beside us! We patiently waited for Max to run back to his family but he was having too much fun climbing and playing. At last, Max's mother called him to come to her and Matthew began videoing while we posed for the "picture." Next thing I knew, I was sitting on a tree branch and Austin was down on one knee. My face was in utter shock (as displayed in the photos). We then continued through the park to go celebrate at a wine tasting bar called The Wine Room where the staff applauded and gifted us with a round of champagne. It was the most wonderful, simple, perfectly imperfect day. - Erin Leigh
To be completely honest.... we just couldn't wait any longer! We knew that it was impossible to plan a wedding in so little time on top of ensuring the safety of our family and friends in the middle of a pandemic. We had a private ceremony at Billy Dunlop Park in Clarksville, Tennessee. Pastor Jonathan Bryant officiated the ceremony with our close friends and fraternity brothers, Drake Harris and Zakk Schaaf as our witnesses. After the ceremony we celebrated at Strawberry Alley Ale Works, Tennessee Valley Brewing Company, and a small gathering hosted by bridesmaids, Alex Miller and Abby Manning. The day we were married was not your average wedding day, but if you know either of us, when have we ever done anything "normal?" This year we are so happy to be having a ceremony and celebration with all of the people we love the most!
