Air Travel The closest airport to Lake Junaluska is Asheville Regional Airport (AVL), located approximately 35 miles from the venue. Asheville is the most convenient option and offers a relatively short drive to the wedding festivities. For guests looking for additional flight options, Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) is approximately 120 miles away. As a larger airport, Charlotte typically offers more airlines, flight schedules, and competitive fares. Ground Transportation Guests flying into Asheville (AVL) will generally find rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft readily available for transportation to Lake Junaluska. However, return rides from the venue back to the airport can be more limited due to the mountain location. To help make travel easier, the bride and groom have arranged access to a private driver who can provide transportation from Lake Junaluska back to Asheville Regional Airport for a flat fee. Advance reservations are required and should be made no later than one week before the wedding. Additional details will be provided upon request. For guests flying into Charlotte (CLT), we strongly recommend renting a car. While rideshare services are available, the longer distance and rural location can make return transportation more challenging and significantly more expensive.

One of the reasons we selected The Terrace is its unbeatable convenience. Located on the beautiful Lake Junaluska property, The Terrace, our ceremony location, and our reception venue are all situated within the same lakeside community. The hotel is approximately a five-minute drive from our ceremony location, and the reception venue is just steps away from The Terrace. Guests staying at the hotel will appreciate being close to all of the wedding festivities while enjoying the scenic beauty of the lake and surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains. Each room reservation includes complimentary full breakfast buffets per day for two guests, making it easy to start your mornings before exploring the area or joining us for the wedding festivities. Our room block includes a mix of full, king and queen rooms. When booking, please take a moment to review the room description and bed configuration to ensure you select the accommodations that best meet your needs. Our discounted room block will be held until 5:00 PM on Monday, September 7, 2026. After that time, any unreserved rooms will be released for general sale. Reservations made after this date will be subject to prevailing rates and availability. Reservations require a deposit equal to the first night's room rate at the time of booking.
