Yes! October 22, 2026 is not a typo. We promise we checked the calendar. 😊
Yes. While the ceremony, hotel, and reception are located in different areas of the Lake Junaluska property, parking is available at each location. Guests staying at the hotel may leave their vehicles parked overnight. Dedicated guest parking will also be available at the ceremony location. The ceremony site is approximately a 3 to 5 minute drive from the hotel, while the reception venue is located just steps away from the hotel.
The ceremony will be held outdoors at Inspiration Point overlooking beautiful Lake Junaluska and the Blue Ridge Mountains. The reception will take place at a separate venue that offers both indoor and outdoor spaces.
Guests should expect only minimal walking once they arrive at each venue location. While the ceremony site, Inspiration Point, is located only about a 3 to 5 minute drive from the hotel, it is not comfortably walkable due to the steep incline required to reach the overlook. For safety and convenience, we strongly recommend driving to the ceremony location. Dedicated guest parking will be available on-site. Guests will not be required to walk through grass or dirt. Both the ceremony and reception locations are easily accessible via paved or hard-surface walkways. The reception venue is located just steps from the hotel and is easily walkable for guests staying on the property.
Due to venue capacity limitations, attendance is limited to those specifically named on the invitation. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you.
While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. Due to venue capacity limitations, we are unable to accommodate children at either the ceremony or reception. If you choose to bring children with you on your trip, they are welcome to remain at your hotel accommodations; however, childcare arrangements will be the responsibility of each parent, as babysitting services will not be provided by the bride, groom, or venue.
The venue has a designated weather contingency plan. Should weather become a concern, any necessary updates or location changes will be communicated to guests as quickly as possible.
Dinner will be served buffet style, allowing guests to select the foods that best suit their preferences. If you have food allergies or dietary restrictions, please contact the bride or groom as soon as possible so we can notify the venue and catering staff.
We have chosen to have an unplugged ceremony. We kindly ask guests to refrain from taking photos or videos during the ceremony and allow our professional photographer and videographer to capture those special moments. Once the ceremony has concluded, we would love for you to take and share photos throughout cocktail hour and the reception.
Please don’t hesitate to contact Erin or Trevor. We’re happy to help and want your trip to Lake Junaluska to be as enjoyable and stress-free as possible. We also encourage guests to revisit the wedding website periodically in the months leading up to the wedding. As additional details become available and new questions arise, we will continue updating the website with the most current information.
October in Lake Junaluska is peak fall season! You can typically expect daytime temperatures between 60°F and 70°F and evening temperatures between 40°F and 55°F. Because our ceremony is outdoors overlooking the lake and mountains, we recommend bringing a light jacket, wrap, or coat for the cooler evening temperatures.
