Food

You can find just about anything to eat around the city, but here are a few of our recs: Pizza: Deep dish is Chicago's thing, with hot debate over which spot is best. Try Lou Malnati's, Giordano's, or Pequod's to cast your vote. Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder Company is a great spot to try - but come hungry! For a non-deep dish pizza, try Happy Camper. Some of our favorite restaurants are Ema (Mediterranean), Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba or Lil Ba-Ba-Reeba (Spanish tapas), Aba (Mediterranean), Girl and the Goat (American), Au Cheval (some say the best burgers in town), Beatrix (American), Tzuco (Mexican), Avec (can you tell we love mediterranean food?). For a good beer, try Off Color Brewing, Centennial, District Brew Yards, or Great Central Brewing Company. Coffee is never more than a block or two away, but some of our favorite spots are Metric, Intelligentsia, Hexe, Colectivo, and La Colombe. For dessert, try Jeni's Ice Cream or Levain Bakery!
