How they met

Once upon a time,

It was late 2019, when Erin just graduated from nursing school and obtained her license as a Registered Nurse. Her first job right out of school took her to Fremont, CA where she was hired as a Psychiatric Registered Nurse at Fremont Hospital. Not knowing what she was getting herself into, she just went with the flow. Little did she know the flow led to meeting Phil, who was a Case Manager, during her hospital orientation. Eyes locked, Phil made the first move and introduced himself. Like any newbie on the job, Erin kept it cool and professionally cordial with him. But that didn't stop Phil in pursuing Erin. Phil started making impromptu visits to Erin’s unit, woo'ing her with boba, coffee, and food deliveries at work (while sneaking in and not getting in trouble by Erin's strict nursing supervisor). Things started to open up when Erin accepted a date with Phil where they went on a hiking/day trip to Moss Beach on Memorial Day weekend — since dine-in dinner dates weren’t an option during the pandemonium. Long story short, they shared their first kiss on the first date. Erin and Phil became official. Covid-19 relationships either make it or break it. Having to learn each other's strengths, weaknesses, and resiliency through the lowest times, Erin and Phil both came to overcome these hurdles and believe they can take the next step into their relationship. The couple traveled to many places together, from driving down the local roads to flying across the skies accumulating airline mileage points. On October 2023, Erin and Phil took their very first international trip together to Japan. Then comes October 31st, which is Phil's birthday. The couple went to Shibuya for the famous observatory rooftop deck known as Shibuya Sky on a picturesque sunset. Phil's good friend Eric asked the couple to have their photos taken by the photographer at the corner of the rooftop deck for "memories" sake. When it was the couple's turn to have their pictures taken, Phil got down on one knee and asked Erin to marry him. Eric then cued the photographer to capture that moment. Special thanks to Eric for carrying out the perfect proposal! And just like that, the love story continues on as they count down their days to saying “I do” to forever.
