Peter is a working actor who lives just outside of Detroit. His summer gig is working at The Greenfield Village in Dearborn, MI. He performs as Thomas Edison, Orville Wright and Henry Ford. In July 2016, Erin (who was still living in NYC) contacted Peter's boss Elaine, and they hatched a plan for Elaine to offer Peter a special appearance gig that he 100% wouldn't turn down. Erin then arranged for their families to have a family day at Greenfield Village on the same day as his "special appearance gig." The big day: Erin organized the families to arrive at different times throughout the day so that she could clue everyone in privately, and receive both of their parents' blessing. Everyone did a great job of keeping the big secret throughout the afternoon. They parted ways before his "special appearance gig" so that everyone had enough time to arrive at the private location before he did. Peter showed up very confused at first, and as Erin walked him into the beautiful rotunda - he finally caught on to what was going on. Erin delivered her proposal speech that she had been preparing for months and got down on one knee to pop the question. He answered with a very loud and emphatic "YES!!"
