First and foremost, please rest assured that the Pittsburgh Botanic Gardens would not be allowing us to hold our event without the appropriate precautions as they, just like us, are first and foremost concerned with our guests' safety. At this time the Gardens have mandated the following precautions: Tables are to be kept 6 feet apart, outdoor congregation options must be available, guest counts must be limited per the most updated state regulations, "sneeze guards" are to be in place for the buffet, buffet attendants are to serve the guests rather than the guests helping themselves, cookies must be pre-boxed rather than help yourself, and the dance floor must have cocktail table options to allow guests to step away as needed. We will update this list as needed. Finally, Matt and I will have available masks for all guests as well as ample hand sanitizer. If anyone has any special needs for themselves or their families, please be in touch with Matt or I to help accommodate.
Please know that if we feel we are unable to carry out our event as planned, we will be in touch with all guests as soon as possible to prevent any complications with travel. Our plan B at this time currently consists of a close group of family and friends gathering in Erie to hold our ceremony privately. We would then attempt to hold our reception next year for our anniversary, at which time everyone would be invited once again to join (and party!).
