We met our freshman year at Merion and Prep in the fall of 2011 and quickly became friends. We spent countless afternoons and weekends with the same friend group, laughing through those early high school years. By junior year, that friendship turned into something more — our first date was a movie night in Ardmore. We had a sweet, young relationship that fall and winter, and even after going our separate ways senior year, we stayed close friends. After graduation, Jimmy went to the University of Delaware and I went to Fordham. Life took us in different directions, but we’d still catch up here and there — over Thanksgiving breaks or at the occasional regatta. Jimmy went on to compete at the highest level of rowing, representing the U.S. National Team and training in Switzerland, Italy, Florida, Texas, and California. I pursued my career in finance, staying in New York City after graduation and working at J.P. Morgan and then Lexington Partners, a private equity firm. Around my 25th birthday, Jimmy and I reconnected — first through a few texts and long-distance calls that soon became a regular part of our lives. For almost a year, we shared stories about my adventures in New York and his training and travels from Austin to Europe. In September 2023, we finally found ourselves home in Philadelphia at the same time and went on what we like to call our second first date. We had dinner in Center City and spent hours catching up, laughing, and reminiscing — it felt as if no time had passed at all. We decided to make it official — and we’ve been together ever since. Today we are incredibly excited to invite you to celebrate our Wedding Day with us as we embark on the rest of our lives together. We could not be more excited to take this next step in our lives and are thankful and truly blessed to have gotten here with the help and love of all of you!
