Things to Do

Looking for a great guide book? We highly recommend "O'ahu Revealed". - Here is a list of our top recommended O'ahu activities:

Snorkeling

.

Early risers see the best wildlife! You can rent snorkel gear by the hour from local beach vendors like Waikiki Shore Beach Service, but Snorkel Bob's has great rental rates worth the trek from the beach. Hanauma Bay is well-known for its calm waters and abundant marine life. Other top spots include Shark's Cove, Waimea Bay, Electric Beach, Kuilima Cove, and Ko Olina Lagoons.

Surfing

.

Waikiki Beach is famous for having some of the best beginner waves in the world. The Waikiki Shore Beach Service booth on the beach rents boards by the hour and can even connect you with an instructor.

Adventure Tours

.

Many companies offer adventurous tours around the island. The wedding venue itself is actually located within one, Kualoa Ranch! The Ranch offers lots of fun activities including ziplining, a UTV Tour (an employee told us that one is their favorite), and movie site tours, as this was Jurassic Park's primary filming location!

Pearl Harbor National Memorial

.

Take a taxi or bus from Waikiki to this hallowed historic site. There is no entrance fee to visit the museums and grounds, but a $1 fee is charged when booking a ticket for the USS Arizona Memorial program through Recreation.gov. NOTE: NO bags or purses are allowed inside, there is a paid bag check booth near the entrance to the Memorial. More info here: https://www.nps.gov/perl/index.htm

Lūʻau

.

Lu'aus are a celebration of Hawaiian culture which feature a variety of Hawaiian dishes usually accompanied by entertainment. Though an intrinsic part of Hawaiian life, many tend to favor spectacle over authenticity. If you'd like to participate, we recommend either the intimate and education-focused "Experience Nutridge" or the immersive "Tao Lu'au".

Immerse yourself in Nature

.

Hawaii is one of the most naturally beautiful places in the world. Consider immersing yourself in one of its preserved areas by hiking the trails of Diamond Head State Monument or wandering the tropical lushness of Waimea Botanical Gardens.
