Question

Where can I send a card or gift?

Answer

Our address is: 63 Embree St, Tarrytown, 10591 Please refrain from deliveries (unless USPS, which will be held) between 8/21 and 9/14 - we won't be home!

Question

Do I need a Car?

Answer

NO! The wedding itself is providing shuttle service to and from the Waikiki area. Oahu also has a great selection of transportation options including Uber, Lyft, holoholo (a local version of Uber/Lyft), and Hui Car Share (a local car-sharing app similar to ZipCar). Oahu's public bus system is also one of the best in the country – it goes all over the island! More info at <thebus.org>. These options are all more cost effective than renting a car + paying for hotel parking at $40-50 per day.

Question

Where and when will the Bride & Groom be in Hawaii?

Answer

Erin & Dino will be staying at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel in Waikiki from Saturday, 8/23 through Saturday, 8/30. Afterwards, they will be traveling to Maui for their honeymoon!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

THE WEDDING Attire suggestion for the wedding itself is 'upscale tropical': Hawaiian shirts are welcome, but we suggest steering away from casual denim & distressing. If you're wearing heels, block heels are HIGHLY suggested over thin stilettos that could sink in the ground. SUNSET CATAMARAN CRUISE Be aware your feet will get wet when boarding the Catamaran from the sandy shore. Sandals are recommended. REHEARSAL DINNER & SEND OFF BRUNCH Please come as you are!

Question

(TIP) Respect Local Culture

Answer

As guests in this tropical paradise, please embody the spirit of Aloha by treating locals with the utmost respect. 'Island Time' is alive and well in Hawaii where locals may be moving at a slower pace than you are used to. Please be mindful of your visitor status, do no harm to nature or wildlife, and be kind to all you encounter.

Question

(TIP) Avoid American Chains

Answer

The Waikiki area is riddled with chains that can be found elsewhere in the US. We strongly suggest supporting local businesses when you can.

Question

(TIP) Wear the damn sunscreen

Answer

Hawaii is closer to the equator than any other place in the US. This makes the UV radiation stronger and the sunburns burnier. Be sure to re-apply at LEAST every 2 hours, more often if you are getting wet & then toweling off. (No excuses, everyone will be receiving their own supply in a welcome bag!)
