Where do we park for the ceremony?

Answer

Park at Lady Glassary Wood car park on B8025. It is a 1/4 mile walk from the car park across the field to the Temple Wood stone rings. You can drop passengers at the entrance gate to the stone rings. See map above. There is a double parking space at the entrance to the stone rings. Please do not park here. If you're staying at Kilmartin Castle or the Old Manse B&B next door, the ceremony is just over a mile and about a 25 minute walk.

What happens if it rains?

Answer

A light sprinkle won't change our plans. We will have umbrellas on hand for you. If it truly rains, we'll hold the ceremony at Crinan Hotel. We'll know for sure on the day and will notify everyone if there are any changes to time and/or location.

What should I wear?

Answer

Smart or dressy casual is fine for our relaxed, outdoor ceremony. We suggest wearing shoes suitable for crossing a grassy field (skip the pointy heels or sandals, but flats or espadrilles/wedges should be ok depending on weather). The average temperature in June is 15C/60F.

Where do we go after the ceremony?

Stay for photos if you like. Then head to Crinan Hotel for the reception. It takes about 15 minutes by car. Go to the top floor to enjoy the view with some Prosecco and canapés starting at 4:30pm in the Gallery Bar. We'll arrive after we've finished taking photos. We expect to start dinner around 5:30pm in the Lock 16 dining room, which is also on the top floor.

How will dinner be served?

When it's time for dinner, please find your name on a table place card in the Lock 16 dining room. We're having a buffet dinner with seafood, chicken, and vegan options. You'll find the menu on the Main Events page. In addition to Prosecco upon arrival and wine for each table, wait staff will be available to take drink orders. All beverages are complimentary.

What are the COVID requirements for travel?

UK entry: There are no longer any requirements for entry to the UK. Travel as normal. U.S. entry as of 16 May 2022: 1. Negative result from COVID test taken no more than 1 day before travel back to the U.S. Antigen/lateral flow is the fastest and least expensive test. You can book a test at major UK airports or order a self-test online. Self tests must include a telehealth service affiliated with the manufacturer that provides test observation via computer or phone which must be booked ahead of time. 2. Airlines require a completed "Attestation" form before travel. Check your airline's web site for a link to the form.
