We went to college together and didn’t talk very much. (Though we did, however, have the chance to perform together in order to get out of writing a 10 page paper for a class.) After graduation, Daniel and I ran into each other in downtown DeLand where we went to school - and the rest is history!

Daniel and I were on a climbing trip in March of 2021 at Foster Falls, TN. We were getting ready for our second day of climbing and it was cold, so I put on every warm thing I owned (no, it didn't match) and asked Daniel if it mattered how I looked. His respond was no. We were hiking out to the crag and came to an overlook to a waterfall. Nobody was there, so Daniel suggested we take a picture. He set up a timer - or so I thought. It was actually a video. We smiled for the camera and then he got down on one knee. I don't think I could say yes fast enough!
