Our Story

Our journey to the altar started four years ago, when two of our friends schemed together to get us to meet.

July 2022: Berenice, one of the two friends who set us up, taking a picture with Erin a few minutes before she meets Brian for the first time.

Brian started taking Erin to monthly blues/fusion dances. Here, you can see Brian having fun and Erin concentrating very, very hard.

Nov 2022: Brian goes home with Erin for Thanksgiving and meets Erin's family for the first time. Erin makes him pose in the Ohio woods because he looks like a lumberjack.

June 2023: Erin and Brian move into their first apartment together. They nickname it the Princess Palace because it is surprisingly spacious. Erin draws a picture of their new kingdom on the fridge whiteboard.

Brian build a plexiglass barrier so his cat and Erin's cat could get used to each other in their new apartment. Though they were hesitant at first, they began to play under the tiny gap in the pane.

Eventually, Harlem and Jaskier agree to put aside their differences and unite against the neighborhood birds.

September 2023: Brian celebrates his birthday at Eris Brewery. He likes it so much that years later, he'll choose Eris for his wedding reception.

October 2023: Erin and Brian dance at Erin's brother's wedding.

Dec 2023: Erin visits Brian's family for Christmas in Florida.

After a series of unfortunate events meant that Erin couldn't celebrate her birthday in 2023, Brian throws her a surprise birthday party in January of 2024.

April 2024: Erin and Brian watch the solar eclipse together in Jefferson Park, Chicago.

2024: About two years after they met, Brian proposes. Erin accepts.

January 2025: Erin and Brian celebrate after moving into their new house, where they now live together.

2025: Brian and Erin host a "name games" party. Their friends play silly games to determine whose name would go first on the wedding invitations. This includes inflatable burrito duels. Can you guess whose team won?
