Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

ASAP or risk the wrath of Erin! Just kidding, but not really. Please let us know as soon as possible if you plan on attending but no later than three weeks ahead of the wedding (by Oct 16th, 2021).

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Absolutely! There will be plenty of activities for kids (and grown ups) available as we're at the Science Center so they should have plenty to do but we will also have on-site child care in case you'd like a little time off during the evening.

Question

Will my dietary needs be met?

Answer

Of course! Hopefully anyway! Erin is a vegetarian after all so dietary needs will definitely be taken into account. We also have members of the wedding party who are vegan, gluten free, and dairy free so we should have your needs met but if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out!

Question

Can I post pictures from the wedding on social media?

Answer

Of course! Please tag us so we can enjoy as well!

Question

Will there be a shuttle to the hotel?

Answer

There is not a shuttle to either of the hotels listed on the website but they are both a block from the Science Center so it is very walkable. There is also a parking garage directly across the street from the Science Center for anyone driving and Lyft and Uber for anyone not driving! There will be an open bar after all!

Question

Where will the ceremony/ reception be held?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be held inside at the Science Center of Iowa.

Question

Are vaccines/masks/COVID tests required for attendance?

Answer

Obviously, we recommend you get the vaccine if you are able, wedding or not. We are scientists after all! Please reach out to your favorite scientists if you’d like any literature (no politics) about why this is our recommendation. That said, we will not be requiring guests to be vaccinated. However, if you are not vaccinated, please consider getting a COVID test within a 48 hour window of the party. We would prefer if our unvaccinated family and friends who are not in possession of a clean, recent COVID test wear a mask to protect your own health and that of our fellow guests. We want everyone at our wedding to enjoy themselves to the fullest extent possible. We are also trying to be considerate and mindful of all our guests’ health, safety, and level of comfort, but are especially concerned for all of our older guests, guests with pre-existing health conditions, as well as youngest invitees who are unable to be vaccinated.

Question

Are vaccines/masks/COVID tests required for attendance? (Continued)

Answer

In addition, we hope that anyone who chooses to wear a mask feels welcome and comfortable doing so (Erin will certainly be wearing hers!). All event staff and vendors will be required to wear masks. While we hope that everyone is feeling dandy the day of, please do not attend if you are feeling under the weather. We will get together another day. It is our sincere hope that everyone leaves happy and healthy! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.

For all the days along the way
