We met while both in upstate NY. We clicked instantly when we realized we had mutual favorite restaurants/friends/interests tucked away in three different corners of the world -- upstate NY, SoCal, and Delhi. Our first date consisted of heated debates (a tradition we continue on a near-daily basis) and Bose singing Teri Deewani to Erin under an overpass.

9.7.15 How We Met

After Bose's appointment at UIUC, we lived apart for 8 months. After many train trips back and forth on the Lakeshore Limited, Erin decided to move to Champaign to be together before she left to complete her dissertation fieldwork in India. Bose proposed shortly after she moved, during a post-brunch walk in West Side Park (where the wedding ceremony will be held).
