We recommend staying in South Lake Tahoe, which is a 15-minute drive from all festivities. It's a ski resort town right on the border of California and Nevada featuring casinos, shops, restaurants, and quirky mountain vibes.

Reno or Sacramento
Reno has the closest airport to Lake Tahoe, it's about an hour drive/shuttle from RNO to South Lake. Sacramento is also an option, SMF is about a 2 hour drive to South Lake.

We recommend renting a car if you'd like some flexibility exploring the area. If you'd prefer not to rent a car, the South Tahoe Airporter shuttle runs between the Reno airport to South Lake a few times per day!
