Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Well, this is Erie, PA. Keep your weather app handy. In the case of a light sprinkle or shower, our plan is to proceed with our forest ceremony. However, if we are hit with storms we will move the ceremony indoors at Room 33. Stay tuned to this website for up to the minute information on weather-related changes.

The ceremony is in the forest at Headwaters Park, which is located right near Exit 29 (Route 8) on Interstate 90. The road in to Headwaters is immediately north of I-90 and runs westward between the Wendy's and Country Fair gas station. There is a parking garage directly to the east of Room 33 on East 11th Street (same block). (Check the SCHEDULE tab for addresses for the ceremony, reception and parking.)

Question

While we love your children, this is an adults-only event.

Question

Who should I contact if I have questions about the wedding?

Answer

Mother-of-the-Bride: Vicki Amendola 814-602-3702 voice or text Matron of Honor: Becca Lanning 814-528-2983 voice or text

Question

How do I know where to sit?

Answer

There will be a few benches available at the ceremony site, and plenty of standing room. We are planning a fairly brief ceremony. The celebratory cocktail evening at the Speakeasy has a fluid seating with bar seating and mixed tables. The evening is designed to keep guests mixing and mingling throughout the evening. Food will be served on a continual basis throughout the evening, so just grab any available seat each time you want to grab a bite and relax.

Question

When will we eat?

Answer

The simple answer to this is - you will eat all evening. In lieu of a formal sit down meal, we will be serving different food options all evening. You will be able to pick and choose as you wish.

Question

What if I have a dietary requirement?

Answer

Please do let us know of any specific needs. We will work with our venue to be sure you are taken care of.

Question

Is there a theme?

Answer

Elegant Victorian Gothic but don't feel pressured? Not halloween themed, but dark and moody elegance.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Ceremony: This part of the day will be held in a beautiful, all-natural forest. There is a well-kept and easy walking path, but we do recommend sensible footwear. There will be plenty of time to change between events even if you opt to have a complete wardrobe change. Reception: We are requesting our guests follow a semi-formal to formal guideline for the evening. (Although if the only thing you own is jeans, we certainly wouldn't turn you away from the fun!)

Question

Can I take photos?

Answer

Unplugged ceremony please. Our photographers will be documenting the day. They can/will move you (politely) if needed. Please refrain from posting any ceremony photos online/social media until 24 hours post-event so that we have a chance to be the first to share our day with the world. At the reception, feel free to snap away! We even have a QR code for you to upload your photos so that we will have the joy of seeing everyone's good time!

Question

Not so much a question but a little additive to the end of this list:

Answer

We know that the wedding is set close to the election this year, that being said we ask that you refrain from speaking politics while we celebrate. We're here to have a good time and celebrate being together with love and kinship, please do not break that vibe by bringing up the current events, you know, we know, everyone knows what's coming in November. Please just be present and share the day with us!

For all the days along the way
